It exists for one reason: to gather clear, reliable, advertising-free information about a handful of Europe's most remarkable castles in one calm place.

All trademarks and names belong to their respective owners. For official information, tickets and opening times, please always use the official website of each castle, which we link from every castle page.
Where our facts come from
Our descriptions are compiled from publicly available sources — the official websites of the castles and their managing bodies, museum publications, and reference works such as encyclopaedias. Photographs are sourced from Wikimedia Commons under free licences; full author and licence details are listed on our Image Credits page.
